Diskussionsabend am Mittwoch, den 16. Juli 2014 im Prachtwerk in Berlin-Neukölln // 19:00 Uhr
B_Talk wird von den Veranstaltern des B_Tour Festivals veranstaltet und ist eine Serie von vier öffentlichen Diskussionsabenden zu aktuellen urbanen Themen, die das im August anstehende Festival vorbereiten sollen. In der heutigen zweiten Ausgabe soll diskutiert werden, wie Stadt als Narrativ gebildet wird, welche Herausforderungen dabei existieren und welcher Einfluss auf die Gesellschaft entsteht. Hierzu werden drei geladene Gäste unterschiedlicher Disziplinen zu Wort kommen und ihre Ansichten und Ansätze zum Thema teilen:

Martin Kohler is a photographer and lecturer at the HafenCity University in Hamburg. He has founded and curated several art projects in public space among other the HAFENSAFARI (2009). At the talk he will present his project Big Urban Walks, a series of urban transecting photographically documented walks in cities like São Paulo, Seoul and Istanbul. http://hcu-hamburg.academia.edu/MartinKohler
- MICHELLE TERAN (CA/DE)
Michelle Teran is a Canadian-born artist who lives and works between Bergen and Berlin. Her practice explores media, performance and the urban environment. Her work critically engages media, connectivity and perception in the city. During the talk she will present her post-graduate research project at the Bergen Academy of Arts and Design “Future Guides for Cities” where she proposes alternative ways to navigate through urban space. http://www.ubermatic.org/
- TORSTEN MICHAELSEN (DE)
Torsten Michaelsen is a media and performance artist and has formed the performance group LIGNA together with Ole Frahm and Michael Hüners. During the talk, Torsten Michaelsen will present different projects by LIGNA that examine ways of interaction and storytelling in the urban space. http://ligna.blogspot.de/
